So I have not posted much as of yet but life has certainly been busy...
Last week my youngest one got sick again!! He recently had tubes put into his ears to see if the fluid, which had caused some minor hearing loss would go away and hopefully improve his hearing and speech. Recently he was diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech, it is a neurological speech disorder. I have been working with him and his therapist to hopefully improve his speech, social skills, and sensory issues. Needless to say as a parent not knowing what the future hold for your child, outside of normal development is a little bit scary.
So last week we were caught off guard when the little guy got a high fever though the last thought in my mind was an ear infection cause he has tubes...uggg...unfortunately home fever controls where not working well, and as Dad rushed him to the ER he had a febrile seizure(what the docs think it was). This is his second one and boy did we freak out!! So last weekend we cancelled his Birthday part and took it easy...poor little guy...is past midnight...so more later.....

Hello World!
This is my first venture into the world of blogging and I hope to get started on the right foot. I have been obsessed with Pinterest lately. There are some really great idea's on this site that I cannot wait to add my own twist to and share here with you.
So to get started organization, I would love to be more organized my house is okay but I could be a hundred times better with tons of baskets and buckets, and shelves and drawers to put all of our stuff in with cute printed labels and the like. But there are just a few problems one is the cost, yes there are a lot of DIY projects out there that let you use items that you have on hand but not always, but these tend to take a lot of patience and time, another problem is that we move every 3 years meaning those great shelves risers and what not have to move too and may not fit well into my new space....(who knows maybe I will get a great big narrow cabinet all my stuff will be right there and easy to see). Lastly, I am a total cheap skate so I would rather not spend a dime on any of this stuff. So here is a challenge I have made to myself recycle what I have on hand into something functional.
A primary example is my pantry. There is not a whole lot of stuff in there but its hard to see everything on a flat plane. A simple solution would be to purchase some risers and poof separate it out...but that costs money!! So this weekend I discovered a super simple solution....use old cereal boxes staple the top tabs together and tape the opening flap closed and instant risers...not pretty but I can't even see it with the other food items in front of them and better yet it cost nothing so in a year when I move I will not feel guilty about throwing it away. On a side note these do not hold a lot of weight and are best for boxes items like cereal and crackers. I have some other ideas for heavy stuff and will post that later.
I also love packets either spice packs or instant pizza dough or muffins. These are great in a pinch items to have on hand for seasoning, snacks for the kids, or a quick dinner. The problem is they have no way to stack together or stand on their own...so I simply saved the trays of old cookies or boxed items and instantly pack them into the cheap plastic holder and voila, an easy simple storage solution.
Now eveything in my pantry is easy to see and it only took me about 10 minutes to spruce it up a bit.
